Energy Photovoltaics, Inc. (EPV) is a solar energy company that primarily designs, develops, manufactures, and markets thin-film photovoltaic (PV) modules and Integrated Manufacturing Systems for the growing international PV marketplace. Located near Princeton, New Jersey, USA, EPV is a privately owned company that has been at the forefront of research, development, and commercialization of thin-film PV technologies since 1991 when it was founded by pioneers in the solar industry. EPV has three major owners that, combined, hold a controlling interest in the company (Integrated Electrical Services, Inc., www.ielectric.com; Energy InnovationsPortfolio AG & Co KGaA , www.accera.de; and one individual), and about 200 other individual shareholders.
